Columbus, Georgia - Mr. Jerry Lee Upshaw, 72, of Columbus, GA passed Monday, August 7, 2023 in Columbus, GA. Funeral service will be held 11:30 a.m. EST, Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Pastor Noble Williams, officiating. Interment to follow in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday, August 16, 2023 from 12-5 p.m. EST.
Jerry L. Upshaw was born on December 4, 1950 in Columbus, Georgia to the late Deacon C.L Upshaw and the late Mary Lou Sumbry. He served in the US Army.
Survivors include his wife, Minister Vivian Davis Upshaw; son, Everett F. Upshaw, Sr. (Tonja); daughter, Terri Upshaw Donnelly (Dwayne) and bonus daughter, Adina Mitchell; three sisters, Shirley Diane Lewis (Richard), Geraldine Upshaw Cason and Deborah Long; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; a host of other relatives and friends.
