Jessie Truttling Obituary

Jessie Truttling (Big Peter) August 25, 1927- October 14, 2005 PITTSVIEW, AL— Mr. Jessie Truttling (Big Peter), 78, of 24 Mellion Road, Pittsview, AL., died Friday, October 14, 2005 at Medical Center Hospital. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. E.S.T. Saturday, October 22, 2005 at Benevolent Grove Baptist Church with burial to follow in Benevolent Grove Cemetery in Pittsview. Visitation will be from 12 until 8 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2005 with a family hour from 5 until 6 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Mr. Truttling was born August 25, 1927 in Russell County, AL., the son of the late Estell and James Truttling. He was a pulpwooder. He is survived by his wife, Johnnie Mae Truttling of Pittsview; six sons, Calvin (Lula) Truttling of Philadelphia, PA., Johnny (Anna) Mellion of Pittsview, Willie (Diana) Mellion of Ft. Lauderdale, FL., Henry (Doris) Mellion of Union Springs, AL., Rickey (Berniece) Mellion of CA.; five daughters, Lula (Amos) Adam of Hurtsboro, AL., Velma Reynolds of Columbus, Leslie Marbry of Phenix City, Shirley Mellion of Pittsview and Denise (Homer) Word of Seale, AL.; one brother, Jimmy King of Newark, N.J.; three sisters, Carrie B. Richardson of Eufaula, AL., Ruth Gideons of Orlando, FL. and Mattie McKagle of New York; thirty three grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; one aunt, Mrs. Alberta Forster of Chicago, IL; numerous other relatives and friends.
