Kathryn Bowers Obituary

Kathryn Gee
Bowers
May 30, 1935-
November 27, 2017
Columbus, GA- Kathryn Gee Bowers, also known as "Kacky", passed away on November 27, 2017 at home in Spring Harbor in Columbus, Georgia.
Kacky was an Army brat born on May 30, 1935 at Fort Niagara, New York. Her father, Samuel E. Gee, was a 1933 graduate of the United States Army West Point Academy. Fort Niagara was his first military post assignment.
Kacky loved the Army and served as an Army wife for thirty proud years with her husband, Jim. They met at Fort Riley, Kansas and were married there on June 16, 1956. They had two fine sons, Jim Junior and Clarke.
Kacky loved all animals, with a special place in her heart for beagles and poodles. She especially loved to "Shop 'Til You Drop". Kacky also enjoyed travelling and dancing, and partying with good friends. She always had something positive to say about everyone she knew, and was a true friend to those she cared for.
Kacky is survived by her husband, James M. Bowers, and two sons, James M. Bowers, Jr. of Lake Las Vegas, Nevada, and Clarke Gee Bowers of Reno, Nevada.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be made to Paws Humane, 4900 Milgen Rd, Columbus, Georgia 31907.
A Remembrance Celebration for Kacky will take place in the near future.
