Linda Tillman Obituary
A daughter of W. C. and Juanita Thomas Tillman of Columbus, Linda was born in Ft. Benning, GA on July 14, 1967. She graduated from Carver High School in 1985 and had received an Associate Degree in Para-Legal Science. A former member of Wynnton Hill Baptist Church, she was currently a member of the Body of Christ Church International in Phenix City, AL where she sang with the Voices of Kingdom Choir. She was a manager at Evergreen Memorial Park for many years and was currently employed as a caregiver with Freedom Home Care.
Survivors, other than her parents, include: her children, Bryan L. Goode and Tashara J. Goode; two sisters, Jacqueline Spencer (Thaddeus) and her twin, Brenda K. Perry (J. D. III); a brother, Dennis E. Tillman (Malvina); the father of her children, Byron Goode; her former spouse, Willie Seldon; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, other relatives and friends.
Homegoing Services for Ms. Tillman will be Saturday, 2:00 pm at the Body of Christ Church International with interment following in Evergreen Memorial Park. Bishop Gregory Blue will officiate. A Memorial Service will be Friday at 6:00 pm at the Progressive Funeral Home Chapel. The cortege will depart from the residence at 1:00 pm the day of the service.

My deepest condolences go out to the family. I remember growing up with Linda, Brenda, and Dennis in Wynnton Hill Baptist Church. Linda, Brenda, and I graduated from George Washington Carver High in 1985. After being out of Columbus for over 14 years by the grace of God, I saw Linda at Kmart and she introduced me to her daughter and told me about her family. She was so happy and as beautiful as ever. I will always remember light in her eyes and the smile on her face. I thank God for that moment. It is my prayer that God bless you and keep you for we have all lost a light.

I am deeply sadden about the passing of Linda. I met Linda when she first moved back to Columbus from Germany. We were neighbors in Northgate Village Apartments. She was the sweetest person anyone would love to meet. Always smiling, always had kind words, and was always reminding you of how much she loved. Mr. WC, Mrs. Juanita, Jackie, Brenda and Dennis, Tashara and Bryan, our hearts were deeply touched to learn of Linda's homegoing. Words we may not have many to console you at this time, however, our love is endless. We know that God will give you strength to endure this time and hold you in His arms for comfort.
