Phenix City, AL- Miriam Martha Allen Hart, 86 of Phenix City, AL passed away peacefully Tuesday January 17, 2012 at Phenix City Health Care in Phenix City, AL.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am EST Friday January 20, 2012 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Rev. Joel Walker, Pastor Robert Goodman and Rev. Ron Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends this evening (Thursday) from 6 to 8 pm EST at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hart was born August 22, 1925 in Miami, FL and was the daughter of the late Brice W. Allen and Carrie D. Smith Allen. She was retired from Phenix Girard Bank and a member of Summerville Baptist Church in Phenix City. Mrs. Hart was a member of the Sweet Spirits Senior Group, past treasure for the Phenix City Home Builders Association, former member of the Tulip Garden Club and former member of Phenix City Chapter of Alabama Business Women Association. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Daniel "Dan" Hart and her grandson, Cary Michael Hart.
She is survived by her sons, R. Jerry Hart and wife Judy of Houston, TX, Ronald C. Hart and wife Kathy of Covington, GA and Donald G. Hart of Cliffside Park, NJ; sister, Betty Jean Lake of Gulf Breeze, FL
(4) Grandchildren, Jennifer Wendorf (David), Taylor Hart, Jenna Howes (Jason) and Paige Hood, (3) great grandchildren, Jonathan Hart , Allison Hart and Karl Wendorf; granddaughter in law, Kristyn Pace and husband Steve, much extended loving family, church family and many caring friends.

I didn't know Mrs. Hart, but felt like I did through her daughter in law, Kathy. My thoughts of her are a warm, loving and caring person. God be with you during your time of sorrow. I'm sure God needed an Angel and she was chosen to be by his side.

Dear Hart Family...Sadden to read about your loss. I worked with Mrs. Hart years ago at Phenix Girard Bank. She was a nice lady and also instrumental in my banking career. I am sure she will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
