Mrs. Pete always treated me like family when Debbie and I were growing up. I recently saw Sarah and expressed my sadness and prayer for the family. I still remember all of the "good ole days. You never get too above yourself to "remember" where you came from. We all have come a mighty long way by the grace of God.

God's promise to us is Strength. The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? I will strengthen thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness's the family continue to lean on the Lord. For God promised us his strength.

Be Still
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
