Shocked I am just now hearing this. I competed with Lane in high school track. He was a winner, and subsequently a great family man and community leader.

Richard was a great person. I enjoyed working with him at the police department. He was always positive, fair and willing to help anyone.
Scripture teaches us that to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord.

Lane, You left this world but not forgotten. We played ball together at the Boy's Club. You were one of the original fastest men in Columbus on a track field. However, along with all of these talents you were a great Human Being. The world will miss you.

Our hearts are broken to learn of your transition and we send our condolences to your entire family. You were one of the nicest people that we knew even as far back as elementary school. As a resourceful person with many gifts and talents, you were always willing to help anyone anytime that you could. Although we only saw you intermittently throughout the years, each encounter was touching and memorable. We will never forget your infectious smile nor your dedication as a detective in locating my mother (Ms. Kelly) during a very trying time in her/our life. We were so blessed to know you and we know that you must be sitting next to our father in heaven, because you were an angel to so many here on earth. As with everyone who knew you, we will miss you.

Thank you for always being so kind. You are already missed. My prayers are lifted up for those closest to you who are mourning your departure.
