Christine Gail Joiner Anderson, 71, affectionately known as Chris, peacefully transitioned into her eternal home in Heaven on Friday morning, March 27, 2026, at her home surrounded by her cherished family. Born on December 9, 1954, Chris’s life was marked by faith, love, and a vibrant spirit that touched all who knew her.
Raised in the Tucker-Clarkston area east of Atlanta, Chris graduated from Shamrock High School in 1972. During her senior year, while visiting the University of Georgia, she met Steve, the love of her life, on a blind date—a meeting that would shape her future. After high school, she attended the University of Georgia but left early to marry her beloved in the spring of 1974, following more than two years of courtship. Their life together included residences around the state of Georgia, before settling in Wrens in 1979 to be close to Steve's parents & hometown.
Upon moving to Wrens, Chris worked at Wren Chevrolet for a short time before embarking on entrepreneurship by purchasing and operating Snow White Cleaners in 1981. She managed this business with dedication until 2009, when she joined her husband working alongside him at Home Folks Wholesale Distributors. Together, they retired on her birthday in 2016. Even after retirement, Chris’s nurturing spirit prevailed as she lovingly assisted her husband in caring for his parents until their passing.
Chris’s unwavering devotion to her Lord and Savior was the cornerstone of her life. Her faith sustained her through a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer. She faithfully worshiped at Wrens Christian Fellowship Church, formerly Wrens United Methodist Church. Chris loved music and was an active member of the church choir and praise band. She volunteered with Relay for Life for many years and became an avid Pickleball player with the local YMCA. Known for her beautiful smile and fun-loving nature, Chris was also an avid Georgia Bulldog fan, proudly cheering “GO DAWGS!”
Her heart overflowed with joy through family gatherings, vacations, and cherished moments at their family lake house at Clark's Hill. Travel highlights include a treasured family vacation to Disney World, and trips with friends to Greece, Italy, and Yellowstone, each reflecting her joyful spirit.
Family remained her central focus and greatest priority throughout her life. Chris is survived by her devoted husband, Steve Milton Anderson; her loving daughters, Deena Scarborough (Brian), Becky Moseley (Brandon), and Meagan Capes (Zachary); and her adored grandchildren, Abigail Scarborough, Amelia Scarborough, Ariel Scarborough, Evan Moseley, Austin Moseley, and Gwendolyn Capes. She is also fondly remembered by her church family and numerous friends who were blessed by her friendship and kindness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nancy Marie Pierpont Joiner and Fred Elmer Joiner, as well as her mother and father-in-law, Ralph and Bobbie Anderson.
A memorial service to honor Christine Gail Anderson’s remarkable life will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Wrens Christian Fellowship Church, with the Reverends Ron Dixon and Roy White officiating. Visitation will follow from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
Chris's family suggests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in her honor to Wrens Christian Fellowship Church, 202 Russell Street, Wrens, GA 30833.
Her enduring legacy is one of faith, family devotion, and joyful resilience. Chris’s light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew and loved her
