Richard your kindness changed the trajectory of my sons life. Because of people like you who served this country honorably he could not wait to meet you.
I finally got to introduce you to him at the Shot Show in Las Vegas. To this day he can’t believe you gave him your personal phone number.
That moment motivated him to work hard and within two years he found himself going through B.U.D.S. Hell Week in Coronado. He recently retired from Navy E.O.D.. I am certain the two of you will have a lot to talk about when you meet again.
Thank you for making a dream come true for a then 20 year old young man.
Blessings- Joanne Kilmartin

To the family and freinds of one of the greatest navy seals ever, I am truly sorry for your loss of one heck of a great guy. I never met the guy but then you did not need to , to no what this guy was about. I kind of followed his story over the years, and there was no end to his love of the NAVY and his SEALS. This is a guy who will truly be missed. God bless you Richard.

I appreciate Richard Marcinko's life SO much. I am retired Navy and proud to have served during the same era as the Rogue Warrior. His books were thoroughly enjoyable and educational. His knowledge of special warfare is second to none. My personal arsenal was built by what Dick liked to supply his men. May Mr. Marcinko's soul rest in peace. He gave his ALL for our country and his men.

I would like to leave a little humorous insight into the humor of Dick Marcinko. The last time I saw him was in the foyer of the NAB Exchange in the early 1990s. We exchanged greetings and he asked me what was going on. I told him a little about operation Uphold Democracy that was going on. He looked at me and said, "King Richard! That sounds good doesn't it? King Richard!"

I was first introduced to this man through the book Rouge Warrior in 1994 while in the Navy, he kept my attention as I would read his stories and imagine being there. I finally met him in 97 at a book store on little creek rd. in Norfolk, and he was as advertised; tough and intimidating. I will never forget the man I wanted to be like more than any other man in my life, and that includes Steve Mcqueen and JFK; but I never could, much like a great number of men who tried, there is only one "Demo" Dick Marcinko.

Richard will always be remembered for his sincere approach to keep our democracy free and make the clear decisions to protect our country. I followed his life because as a US soldier I too served overseas and hold my flag close to my heart especially when you leave your family to serve in other areas of the world and see how good we have it. Richard was a god sent hero to protect and lead us and it was my honor to know about him.
