Ronnie Hayward Dowdell March 11, 1949 - August 13, 2010 COLUMBUS, GA — Mr. Ronnie Hayward Dowdell, 61, of Columbus passed away on Friday, August 13, 2010 at Columbus Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be noon Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at Sconiers Funeral Home Chapel. Final disposition will be cremation. Mr. Dowdell was born March 11, 1949 in Columbus; the son of Robert Dowdell and Inell Johnson. He was a 1966 graduate of William H. Spencer High School. Mr. Dowdell was a self-employed heating and air conditioning specialist. Mr. Dowdell was a former reservists in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Dowdell and a sister, Maxine Gooden. Survivors include his former wife, Diane Perkins, sons, Tevin Dowdell and Ronnie Perry, daughters, Erica Dowdell and Aspen Perry, and a sister, Gwendolyn Dance, all of Rochester, NY; nine grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousin and other relatives.
