Columbus, GA- Steven Douglas Dobbs, 63, of Columbus, Georgia, passed away at Midtown Medical Center on Saturday, March 24, 2018.
A Memorial Service for Steve will held at a later date by his family and friends.
Steve was born in Columbus, Georgia to the late Curtis L. Dobbs and Betty Allen Dobbs and attended Columbus High School. Later, Steve began a life long career as a plumber and spent his entire career dedicated to Lowery Plumbing Company.
In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by a brother Allen Dobbs. Steve is survived by his only son Adam Tutherow and his wife Jessie of Columbus, GA; three sisters Leslie Smith and her husband Monroe of Lanett, AL, Betsy Young and husband Joe of Phenix City, AL and Laurie Avery and her husband Ron of Phenix City, AL; one brother David Dobbs of Amelia, VA and several caring friends and extended family. Steve's most loyal companion was his dog Dude who Steve cherished, spoiled and seldom went anywhere without.

You were a very important person in my life. I will miss you dearly. I find myself calling your phone but.you don't answer.... I come.to visit, but you are not home.... after 19 years of friendship, you leave me without saying " see you later, call me if you need me".... You just left...i miss you my friend.
