Phenix City, AL- Mr. Willie James "Cowboy" Crowell, 69, of 101- C Riverview Apts., Phenix City, AL passed Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Columbus Regional Hospital, Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. EST Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Coolspring Baptist Church, Pittsview, AL with Rev. Eddie Johnson, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation is today from 1 - 8 p.m EST according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.
Mr. Crowell was born January 26, 1943 in Russell County, AL to the late Mary Alexander Crowell and the late Charlie Crowell, Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Crowell; four sons, Michael Crowell, Lorenzo Crowell and Willie James Crowell, Jr., all of Columbus, GA and Vincent (Pam) Crowell of Richmond, VA; three daughters, Sharon (Johnnie) Smith, Diane Crowell and Barbara Crowell all of Columbus, GA; 17 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
