Anne Carpenter Obituary

SWANZEY - Anne P. "Pam" Carpenter, 73, of Homestead Avenue, Swanzey, died Wednesday, Jul. 1, 2015 at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester.

She was born in Boston, Apr. 26, 1942, the daughter of Fay and Elvira (Kreutz) Jennings. She grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and was a graduate of Shaw High School in Cleveland. She later attended Boston University.

While growing up in Cleveland, her family spent their summers in Whitefield, N.H. Mrs. Carpenter came to love the area and when her parents retired, the family moved to Whitefield to reside there year-round. She later resided in Greenfield and then in Peterborough for 18 years before moving to Harrisville in 1988. She has been a resident of Swanzey since 2006.

Over the years, Mrs. Carpenter had worked at Crotched Mountain, Rehabilitation Center, She spent many years working alongside her husband at Young's Furniture and Monadnock Cable and went on to work for Curtis Manufacturing. Before she retired she became a Certified Nurses Assistant and worked at Rivermead in Peterborough.

She enjoyed reading and listening to music. She had a particular fondness for the Cleveland Symphony and her favorite pastime was the time she was able to spend with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Anne Mackey of Dublin, Justin Carpenter and his wife, Shannon of Dublin, Shane Carpenter and his wife, Elizabeth of Clinton, Conn. Daniel Carpenter of Johnston, R.I. Julia Trabucco of Hillsborough; nine grandchildren, Meghan Carpenter, Giuseppe Carpenter, Dominic Carpenter, Cole Carpenter, Dan Carpenter, Faith Carpenter, Lauren Mackey, Zachary Mackey, Emma Carpenter; three brothers, Mark Jennings of Marlborough, Chris Jennings of Dover, Paul Jennings of West Virginia; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Gordon E. Carpenter, on Apr. 12, 2015, and a brother, William Jennings in 1987.

A memorial service will be held Friday, Jul. 24, 2015 at 2 p.m. in the Dublin Community Church, 1125 Main Street (Route 101), Dublin. Family and friends are welcome.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made in Mrs. Carpenter's memory to the Salvation Army, 15 Roxbury Plaza, Keene, N.H. 03431.

I so wanted to attend the service planned for this date in time. Due to health reasons I'm unable to make it but....
