George D. Davis

Lakeland, FL — George D. Davis 69 of Lakeland, FL (formerly of Jaffrey) died peacefully on November 17, 2021 at his home after a long illness. He was born in Peterborough, NH on January 11, 1952 the youngest child of George Dennison Davis Sr. and Yvonne (Caron) Davis.

He graduated from Conant High School in 1970. He served in the United States Air Force from 1972-1976. He was stationed in Thailand for a year as security police where he earned the Air Force Commendation Medal for his actions in the evacuation of Tan Son Nhut Air Base, Republic of Vietnam.

He is a member of the American Legion and VFW. He lived in Jaffrey where he was supervisor of the Town of Jaffrey Parks and Commons Department. He moved to Clermont, FL in 1989 where he was grounds keeper for Oak Hill Cemetery. In 2003 he moved to Lakeland, FL and was a security guard at Florida Southern College.

He is predeceased by his parents, sister Edith Davis and nephew Tracey Lacroix. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Sandra (Guillaume) Davis, his son Dennison Davis and wife Brenda (Faut) Davis, his daughter Karen Pennypacker, his grandchildren Meya, Riley, and Jakob Davis and Ean Pennypacker all of Lakeland, FL. His sister Janet Lacroix and nephew Rick Lacroix of Jaffrey, NH.
