Judith Boutwell Obituary

Judith "Judy" Boutwell

Keene, NH - Judith "Judy" Boutwell, 79, of Keene, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by the love of her family, on January 12, 2026. She was born on October 17, 1946, in Peterborough to Robert C. and Ruth V. (Greeley) Adams.

Judy was raised and lived her entire life in the Monadnock Region. She was a 1964 graduate of Wilton High School. She worked as a secretary for the Gurnsey Cattle Club and New Hampshire Ball Bearing until marrying her husband James Boutwell and starting a family. She stayed home and raised her three children while helping with Jim's plumbing business until the kids were grown.

When Judy returned to work, she continued her secretarial work until becoming office manager for Dr. Patterson at Monadnock Community Hospital. Once Dr. Patterson retired, she worked until her retirement with Monadnock OBGYN.

Judy was kind and generous and will be remembered for her deep love for her family and friends.

In addition to her husband James Boutwell of 58 years, Judy is survived by her children William (wife Andrea), Steven (wife Trisha) and Scott (wife Shannon) and her 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by siblings Gail, Nancy, Pam and Brian.

She was predeceased by her sister Bonnie.

At Judy's request, services will be private.
