Lorraine Williams Obituary
Jaffrey, NH - Lorraine N. Williams, 92, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother passed away peacefully at her home in Jaffrey NH on June 11, 2025. Born Oct. 30, 1932, in Waltham MA, Lorraine shared love, life, and humor with everyone who knew her.
In 1953, she married Leon A. Williams and later settled in Sudbury MA to raise their family. Together they enjoyed 50 years of square dancing, skiing, traveling and tending to a beloved summer home in Five Islands ME before Leon's passing in 2003.
Lorraine moved to Jaffrey NH in 2004 to be closer to her family and took great joy in attending the sporting events and recitals of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lorraine generously gave her time and talents throughout her life. While raising her family, she served as den mother, folded bulletins, monitored swim lessons busses and typed documents for her church in Sudbury, amongst many other volunteering roles.
After moving to Jaffrey, Lorraine quickly became an active and engaged member of her new community. She joined the Jaffrey Women's Club, contributing her time and talents to support its many events. She also regularly attended the Wednesday Coffee and Friday Knitting Group hosted by the Jaffrey Parks and Recreation Department, and served as a board member of the Coburn Woods Condo Association. Lorraine was always involved, always on the move, and always giving to others.
She is predeceased by her parents Carl E. and Pearl A. (Tozer) Nelson, brother Carl E. and wife Jean (Dyer) Nelson, sister in-law Olive (Williams) Going and husband Richard Going.
Lorraine is survived by her sons Gary L. Williams and wife Lisa (Joseph) Williams of Hancock NH and David C. Williams and wife Barbara (Combs) Williams of Antrim NH, six grandchildren - Jason Williams and wife Kristi (Sweet) Williams, Hannah (Williams) Johnston and husband David Johnston, Alexandra (Williams) Desrosiers and husband Collin, Katlyn Williams and partner Peter Greeley, Juliana (Williams) Kazanovicz and husband Christopher Kazanovicz, Michael Williams and wife Cassandra (Zdrojeski) Williams, and 10 great grandchildren - Mackenzie Williams, Haley Williams, Ronan Johnston, Fiadh Johnston, Zoey Williams, Eden Williams, Aria Williams, Gwendolyn Kazanovicz, Cordelia Kazanovicz, and Crew Desrosiers.
A celebration of life will be announced on a future date.

We feel so blessed to have had Lorraine for a cherished neighbor and friend for the last 7 years. Her laughter was contagious and she enjoyed life to the fullest. We miss her light in the window.
