Stanley Heckathorn Obituary
Born in Butler, PA to the late Jack and Kay Heckathorn, Stan and his sisters Cheryl Fry and Debra Heckathorn moved approximately eleventy million times, finally settling down in Bradford, PA. After receiving his degree from Penn State, Stan switched his allegiance and worked for the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford for 25 years. Stan and Lynn then moved to Peterborough, NH to be closer to his sisters, and try out some different career paths. After 20+ years in the granite state, Stan's granddaughter convinced them to move to Pittsburgh, PA.
Stan loved to golf, fish, and clean the kitchen. He also enjoyed showers, pacing, the sun and buying things that no one would ever need. We will all miss his kind heart and bad jokes.
Celebrations of Stan's life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, Robinson Township. Memorial contributions may be made to a local animal rescue of your choice.

I worked for Stan at Pitt-Bradford. He bought me my first legal alcoholic drink when I turned 21. I lived up the street from him too and always enjoyed his immaculate patch of lawn! He was a great guy. RIP

Stan and I were high school friends and college roommates. I have not seen him in decades but he still makes me smile. He was one of the most interesting people I've known. RIP
