Vincent J. Prestigiacomo

1926 - 2014

ORANGE, Mass., - Vincent J. Prestigiacomo, 87, of Orange, Mass., formerly of Jaffrey, died old and full of years, Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at home surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness.

Mr. Prestigiacomo was born in New York City, Feb. 9, 1926, the son of the late Frank and Antoinette (Sutera) Prestigiacomo the fifth of eight children. He served in WWII in the Navy. He married Vivian (Ambrogio) in 1947 and worked in construction throughout his life. They moved to Jaffrey in 1969, and started Calvary Assembly of God church. He ministered in churches and homes in New England and made five mission trips to Haiti. For ten years he traveled cross country 150,000+ miles with his daughter and her family in their singing ministry called The MacDonald Family Singers.(www.macdonaldfamilysingers.com)

Mr. Prestigiacomo was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Vivian (Ambrogio), in 2001 and a daughter, Patricia Ann, in 1963.

He leaves behind a son, Frank Prestigiacomo and wife, Donna, of Brooksville, Fla., and a daughter, Laurie MacDonald and her husband, Victor, of Orange, Mass. He is survived by two sisters, Madelin Geluso, of Boynton Beach, Fla. and Giovanni Prestigiacomo of Burke, Va. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A burial service will be held Feb. 7 at 2 p.m., Long Island National Cemetery, 2040 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, NY.

A memorial service will be held Feb. 8 at 2 p.m., North New Salem Congregational Church, 60 Elm St., New Salem, MA.
