Abbie Isabell Davis, 71 of Cottonwood, passed away on May 14, 2016. She was born on March 21, 1945 in Texarkana, Arkansas to Nolen and Mattie Welty. Abbie was a homemaking goddess. Her life was her family and her dog. She was one of the most loving people. She always knew how to bring a family together. Abbie is survived by daughters Sheila Young (Scott), Annie Gaunt, Lanette LuetJens (Anthony), Delia Cly and Wanda Davis, all of Cottonwood; brother Vandorn Welty (Helen) of Dewey, AZ; sisters Mary Neal Twombly, Helen Welty Linton, Gena Pearce and Dorothy Neal all of Hallsville, Texas and Wilodean Wren of Lake O' the Pines, Texas; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Ray Davis, Sr.; a son Jessie Ray Davis, Jr.; brothers, Oscar Welty, Buddy Welty, R.C. Welty and Wayne Welty. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood from 11:00am to 12:00pm. A graveside service will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Clarkdale.
