Lois, John, and Laura:
For 14 months now when the 26th of each month approaches my heart has been getting heavy. I did not really know why until fairly recently. I know know that it relates to Abby's death.
As I hug Jessie each day I only wish you could have the chance to hug Abby. The pain must still be so hard on you both. My thoughts and prayers are with you and have been every day since the accident.
I haven't forgotten, and never will, your loss and your need for support and care.
May God continue to keep you in his care and assure you that Abby is safe in his arms.
Love, Janet, Ross, and Jessie

YOU ALL HAVE BEEN ON MY MIND FOR SO MANY WEEKS AND I JUST DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO WRITE. BEING A MOTHER I CANNOT IMAGINE LOOSING A CHILD. I SAW THESE WORDS IN A BOOK AND THOUGHT I'D FORWARD THEM TO YOU IN HOPES THEY MIGHT GIVE YOU COMFORT.
AFTER THE LOSS OF A LOVED ONE,
THE HOLIDAY SEASON BRINGS SPECIAL MEMORIES AND TENDER MOMENTS OF SADNESS. YET WE TRUST THAT, THROUGH GOD'S HEALING TOUCH, CHRISTMASES YET TO COME WILL ONCE AGAIN BE FILLED WITH HOPE AND JOY. MAY GOD HOLD YOU IN LOVE AND PEACE DURING THIS HOLIDAY SEASON AND THROUGHOUT THE COMING YEAR.
"I WILL COMFORT THEM, AND GIVE THEM GLADNESS FOR SORROW" - JEREMIAH 31:13
SINCERELY, SALLY K. SWAIN

Dear Lois, John and Laura,
I was out of the country when Diana called me with the terrible news of Abby's death. My grief was surprisingly strong and painful, perhaps accentuated by the distance from my family as well as from my friends at Trinity. While I continue to find it hard to imagine such a loss, I am deeply touched by your faith, love, and resiliency. Abby was blessed to have such a loving family, and she blessed all of us with her reflection of God's love.
With my deepest sympathy,
Dan Breed

It has been my experience and my observation that loss and grief can be exacerbated by the holiday season. As we approach the fall/winter holiday season, I will continue to think of you and pray that from time to time you will experience a peaceful heart and that angels surround you and carry you through.
Janet Mabon is my instructor at FRCC in Longmont. She gave us the address for this website honoring Abigail, and I am honored and humbled to be a part of it.

Through your pain and loss of sweet Abby, you brighten the lives of us who see you in your front pew each Sunday morning, smiling through your tears, showing us tremendous courage. All of you...Lois, John and Laura...are impacting our lives in ways you may never know. We thank God for the gift each one of you is for us - just as Abby was and will continue to be because of the memories of an incredible child. Love you, Gene & Jean

Lois, John, & Laura:
Every day on my way to and from work in Denver, my bus passes over the intersection where Abby died. My heart aches. I think of you. Is there something I can pray or send up to heaven as a message to Abby as I cross over this place of such sadness?
Until I hear from you I will pray the following, "Abby: Mom, Dad and Laura miss you terribly and love you so much. Through the power of God and the Holy Spirit, comfort them, strengthen them, let them know you are still with them in spirit, and always will be. Amen."

God's Special Angel: God needed a special angel, One loving, good, and kind, And so he chose your daughter, And left us all behind. The tears we shed were many, Our hearts were filled with pain, But our loss upon this earth, Was surely Heaven's gain. And though her heart no longer beats, Her memory lives within, Time can never erase the love, For your daughter and best friend. - Barb H. Ochoa
May you find comfort in knowing that Abby is safe in God's loving arms. Our thoughts and prayers are with you ALWAYS. The Mabons
