Abigail Maria Kendrick received her angelic wings on Dec. 1, 2015. She passed away in the comforts of home surrounded by both her loving grandmothers. Abbie was born Nov. 15, 1998, at McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah, to Carrie Maria Miller Kendrick and Jason Paul Kendrick. Abbie was so excited to come to earth, she was born early and weighed 1 lb. 15 oz. Abbie grew up in Hyrum, Utah, touching everyone's life she ever contacted. Abbie was a junior at Mountain Crest High School where she was a deeply loved. Abbie taught us more in her short life than we may ever realize. Abbie struggled at times with the restraints of her mortal body, yet lived life to the fullest enjoying the simplest pure moments. Abbie loved to dance, sing and when worn out for the day, snuggle with her family to watch a Disney classic. Abbie is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a pure love of her Savior, Jesus Christ, which was shown through her favorite song, "I Am a Child of God." We love you, Abbie, with all our hearts. We will miss you more than words can express and look forward to the day we return to be with you as a family forever. Abigail is survived by her parents, Jason and Carrie Kendrick, her twin brother Austin, her twin little brothers Nickolas and Noah, and her sweet baby sister Sophia. Abigail is also survived by her grandparents, Pete (Francis) and Susan Kendrick, and Richard and Sonja Miller, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. We thank all those people who loved, supported and helped Abigail and family. We wish to acknowledge the Cache County School District's many teachers, staff and aids who brought joy to Abbie through the years, Utah State University DSL program, Primary Children's Hospital PICU and NTU and with deep respect and gratitude, Grandmas, who gave Abbie the pure sacred love that only they can give.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Nyman Funeral Home. A celebration of Abbie's life will be held at the Hyrum First Ward Chapel 95 N. 675 West, Hyrum, Utah. A viewing will be Friday, Dec. 4, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the chapel in Hyrum, and Dec. 5, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., at the chapel, funeral service to follow at noon. Graveside services will be at the Hyrum City Cemetery. Condolence and memories can be shared with the family online at www.NymanFH.com.

I had the privilege of working with Abbie when she was in elementary school. That summer I was her O.T. aide. I loved taking her out to the playground. We would always sing because she worked harder if we sang. Such a special girl. Like many others have said she had a special spirit about her. She will be deeply missed. Sincerely, Marie Kapp

I had the wonderful privilege to be one of Abbie's nurses in the NTU. Oh what an honor it was! There was a very undeniable spirit that was felt inside of Abbie's room and I was so grateful for the opportunity I had to feel it. She most definitely had angels around her at all times. Carrie and Jason, I only met you a few times but I just want to thank you for opportunity to take care of your sweet angel. You are amazing parents and I loved witnessing the love you guys had for Abbie. My heart aches that I could not be at her funeral today but I just want you guys to know that I was thinking of you and praying for you. Abbie's spirit is one that I will absolutely never forget.

What wonderful feelings and thoughts you will carry in your hearts about Abbie. As parents you were such loving, intelligent advocates for her care. You inspired everyone around her to help her spirit, physical being and mental being to be considered and this helped her thrive. Carrie, My heart broke when I heard that Abbie had passed away, I wish I could take away the pain that you and your family are in. I see Abbie running, singing, playing in a field of wild flowers waiting for her Mom, Dad, and Brothers to come be with her again. When that time comes Abbie will be the teacher, She will run to meet you with open arms and show you what HEAVEN is like. May the Lord bless your Family with Love and Peace.

Abbie! We love you! I can remember when you and Austin were just little peanuts and that I had the privilege to care for and cuddle you in the NICU. I loved that when you heard your favorite songs, your face would light up and we could all enjoy in your excitement! I loved when you would sometimes look into my eyes and I knew you could see into my soul. I knew you were holy and perfect and eternal. I loved to watch you look adoringly into your father's eyes and that you two had a special bond that only fathers and daughters have. Jason and Carrie, what wonderful parents you are and that you raised an angel perfect, eternal and celestial. Now if only we can get our acts together and in the future follow her into God's arms. Oh, how I will miss our sweet little Abbie! I will remember her smile, her love of dancing, singing, and stealing treats! She absolutely brought so much joy to all of here at DSL. I will miss her terribly. I will miss singing with her, cuddling with her, and watching her LOVE to swim so much that she was very unhappy when it was time to go. I am so grateful for the knowledge to know that she is happy and out of pain. She is on the other side singing and dancing, and letting everyone know of her presence... I love Abbie, I cannot wait to see her complete and whole. My thoughts and prayers and tears are with your wonderful family. may you feel our Savior's arms round about you feeling the love that only He can give.
