STEIN, Abraham (Abe) In his eighty-seventh year, on Friday, August 5, 2011, in Montreal. Beloved husband of Bertha Schachter for fifty-nine years. Loving father and father-in-law of Myra and Carey Adirim, Phillip and Cathy Stein, Rosanne Stein and Mitch Beube. Cherished Zeida of Jamey, Tara, Lauren and Zachary Adirim; Ryan, Dara, Corey and Kelli Stein; and Nava Beube. Dear brother-in-law and brother of Gertie and the late Jack Stein, and brother-in-law of Bernard Schachter, Leonard and Judith Schachter, the late Norma Avers. Abe will be sadly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., Montreal, on Monday, August, 8 at 12 noon. Burial at the Beth Zion Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Shiva at 7925 Kingsley Rd., Cote St. Luc, Quebec H4W 1P5. Contributions in his memory may be made to the "Abe Stein Memorial Fund for Cardiac Care Unit" c/o the Jewish General Hospital Foundation, (514) 340-8251.
