Adam Hill Obituary
Raised in Rockaway, known for 'energy, intelligence & optimism'
San Luis Obispo County District Supervisor Adam C. Hill passed away on Aug. 6, 2020. He was 54.
Adam grew up in Rockaway, N.J., and moved to California in 1995. He received a BA in Government from University of Maryland, an MA in English from Fresno State and an MFA in writing from Louisiana State.
Adam was a college professor at Cal Poly before becoming a Public Servant in the Central Coast of California. In 2008 when he won his first SLO County Supervisor campaign, his supporters saw him as a special mix of energy, intelligence and optimism. He was always involved in his community and had an unwavering passion as an advocate of the poor, homeless and otherwise vulnerable. He cared deeply about the issues facing the community and wasn't afraid to challenge people and share his opinion. He worked hard to improve and preserve the environment.
Adam had a never-ending thirst for learning, was an avid reader and loved music. He will be forever in the hearts of his sister Laura Palombo, his brother-in-law Daniel Palombo, and his teenage niece, Samantha Palombo.
A celebration of Adam's life will be held in the near future in California.
