Adrian J. CYR

CYR, Adrian J. Adrian J. Cyr, 76, of Avon, formerly of South Windsor, husband of the late Anne (Kenefick) Cyr, died on Sunday, (October 17, 2010) at Manchester Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 15, 1934 in Siegas, New Brunswick, Canada, son of the late Louis and Azilda Cyr. Adrian lived in South Windsor for over 35 years and worked for CNG as a pipe fitter for over 34 years, before his retirement in 1999. Adrian was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge # 1477, Knights of Columbus Council # 3901 in East Hartford, French Social Club and the AARP. He also enjoyed Gardening, Bowling and Horseshoes. He leaves two brothers, Roger Cyr of CT and Phillip Cyr of Canada, sisters, Theresa Lariviere of CT, Alphena Dubay of NH, Lorraine Levesque of Canada, Diane Gagnon of ME, Maijeanne Burgess, Emilienne Dionne both of Canada, his brother-in-law, James Kenefick of CT and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by many brothers and sisters. Family and friends may gather on Saturday, (October 23, 2010), 9 a.m. at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, South Windsor. Burial will follow in Wapping Cemetery in South Windsor. His family will receive friends on Friday, from 5 -8 p.m. at the funeral home.
