I am sorry to hear that my Best Friend Adrian from Elementary School at Judah P. Benjamin & Beauregard Jr. High had gone on to heaven. Adrian was a reason I learned to play the the Saxophone and Bassoon. We met 1 time in Minnesota where attended the the U of MN. We were inseparable in our younger years before I moved to Algiers to attend L.B. Landry & he went to St. Augustin. I missed him knowing that he is no longer on this earth. I am sorry for your family's loss. Continue to rest in peace my Friend. With love James Payne.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to you at this time for the loss of Dr. James.
I worked in the lab at Lakeland and I would see him a lot before I found out that he was one of the best asthma specialists in New Orleans. I chose him to be my docter. Once I met him , I knew I had made the right choice. He was the best,he was a wonderful person.
and I was very proud to be an employee at Lakeland when he was Chief of Staff. I am living in Portland, Oregon now and again I realize that New Orleans is missing another light in our black community.
May your memories and God's love help you through this difficult time. Dr. James will be truly missed.

When I saw the photo and wreath on Sunday, I just cannot believe it. As a previous employee, due to his expertise, I acquired growth as a nurse. It is very sad that we've lost a very professional and experienced physician. At this difficult time, I extend my heartfelt sympathy and prayers.

I was deeply saddened to hear of the loss of Dr. James. I worked with him at Methodist Hospital and know that the New Orleans community will miss him and his medical expertise. My prayers are with his family whom I know he cared for so much.
