Ahmad Talyai Obituary
Born in Tehran, Iran, Ahmad left to pursue his dream of becoming an Optometrist and landed in California, USA, in 1977 after serving in the Iranian military. Ahmad, known as Leon by many, moved to Colorado in 1978, where he met his wife, Clair, on the Aims Community College campus in Greeley. They married in Tigard, Oregon, on October 5, 1979, where Ahmad was pursuing optometry at Pacific University. Returning to Greeley in 1980, Ahmad decided on an Optician career honoring several generations of his family line and working for Pasch Optical. A year later, he opened Look Optical in 1981, serving the Denver metro area with optometry services across what became 5 locations. An avid sports fan and athlete, Ahmad played every sport. He served as chair of his soccer league, becoming the founder of the original Godfather's soccer team, where he met and played with what became some of his dearest friends. Ahmad's adventurous and wild spirit led him to travel and explore the world with those he loved. The Rocky Mountains and his waterfall held a special place in his heart and continue to hold some of the best memories of his life. Ahmad's passion for helping people touched the lives of thousands; for those who knew him and experienced this, it was a gift.
A loving and thoughtful husband and father, Ahmad is survived by his caring wife of 45 years, Clair Talyai; his children, Talla, Neda, Suzanne, and Andrew; and his faithful companion, Zeba. He cherished time with his nieces and nephews and his extended family and friends, who helped fulfill what became a meaningful life.

The day the photo of him outside, we were sitting outside listening to Persian music, on a hot day. His energy was so elevated and peaceful.
He told me how the music made him feel like, and he pointed to the sky and smiled a big smile, and said so good.
I love that he loved music, singing, and dancing.
I didn't hear him sing so much until he lost his vocabulary.
He'd bob his head too in an adorable way.
I still don't know how to bob my head like that... ;)
