Aiko Nakatsu Mizuki

Aiko Mizuki passed away peacefully on January 1, 2014. Aiko was born in Des Moines, Washington in 1923, graduating from Highline High School. She was interned during WWII at Tule Lake, California until she was allowed to leave to work in Chicago. Aiko returned to Seattle in 1945, where she eventually met and married James Hajime Mizuki in 1951.

Aiko was preceded in death by her husband Jim, and is survived by her daughter Susie (Kurt, grandchildren Margaux, Chase and Reid) and sons Andy (Michelle), and Peter (Naomi, grandsons Keita and Sota). A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, January 18, 10:30am at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 1601 S. King Street, Seattle. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent to Seattle Keiro or St. Peter's Episcopal Church.
