Janesville - Alan R. Wagner, age 65, of Milton, WI, formerly of Green Bay, WI, passed away on August 10, 2025, due to complications from Alzheimer's Disease. He was surrounded by his loving family until the very end.

Alan was born in Sheboygan, WI, the son of Robert H. and Kathryn M. (Schwinn) Wagner. He grew up in Cleveland, WI, and spent many hours fishing on Lake Michigan with his dad and playing baseball for the Cleveland Wildcats. Alan had a witty sense of humor and enjoyed good jokes and pranks.

After graduating from Sheboygan North High School, he went on to receive a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a Master's degree in School Business Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Upon earning his CPA license, Alan's first job was with the accounting firm of Jonet, Fountain, VandeLoo & Glaser in Green Bay. He spent the remainder of his career working for the Green Bay Area Public Schools, retiring in 2015. His co-workers became his friends, bowling teammates, and golfing buddies.

Alan married Shari (Davis) Wagner, his wife of 42 years, in Beloit, WI. They had two children and enjoyed many family fishing and hiking vacations. Alan will be remembered for being a loving husband, devoted dad, and passionate Packers fan.

Alan is survived by his wife, Shari; children, Andrew Wagner (Claudia Seidenberg) and Karli (Charlie) Jenstead, both of Madison, WI; sisters, Fran Vollrath (Gary Czaplewski) of Stevens Point, WI, Susan Wagner of Sheboygan, WI, and Ann (Pete Schoepp) Riddle of Manitowoc, WI; brother, Richard (Lenore) Wagner of Jacksonville, FL; mother-in-law, Lois Davis of Beloit, WI; sister-in-law, Joyce Olson of Beloit, WI; brothers-in-law, Roger (Laurie) Davis of Beloit, WI and Dan (Mary) Davis of Janesville, WI; and many nieces and nephews.
