Albert was a dear colleague at Curry College. As I retire from Curry in my 42nd year, many of my colleagues who have passed, come to mind. My condolences, although three years ago, is still a great loss. I miss Albert.

I met Dr. Sherring when he came with his wife Shanta to pick me up at the Logan Airport in 1967. He has remained a great friend to me and to my sister and brother in law Dr. and Mrs. K P Singh.
We all share the common memory of 22 Buswell Street in Boston.
He always remained that wonderful person in my life. Very kind and generous, and always there for you. I made a point to visit him three times at the facility and it was always great to see him, and be inspired by his energy, sense of humor and optimism. A beautiful human being, my friend, my uncle and I know that nothing can fill the void that he leaves behind.
I pray for him, and also for Asha and Sunil and the lovely family. May God give them the strength to endure through this very difficult time.
God Bless.

To Neil and Asha and families: We were terribly saddened to learn of your Dad's passing. He was a much-loved fixture at Curry for so many years. We hope his later years treated him well, and that the memories of times with him will continue to enrich all of your lives .

A life well lead and lived is what everyone desires. He was a lucky man left a beautiful son and a daughter and their children to carry out his name!

I fondly remember Prof. Albert Sherring when I first came to Curry College as a new instructor in the English Department in 1986. Al Sherring showed me nothing but kindness and consideration. He, along with other Curry faculty and students(I remember his son Neil was one of them) had organized the International Club. My first three years at Curry I participated with Al Sherring and others in this club. We had ethnic dinners, there was dance, and a good time shared by all. Albert Sherring was beloved by his Curry College students and held in great esteem by his collegues. He was a wonderful teacher and mentor.

Sherring uncle was certainly one of my favorites. Trips to his home for parties or otherwise were always a highlight when I was younger.
As I have grown, I have seen how much of his and aunty's energy, social responsibility, and good nature have gone to influence all of us in the community. Uncle truly lives on in our hearts.

Uncleji always made me smile! I loved riding my bike up to auntie and uncle's home (that hill!) and every time we met we enjoyed hearing poetry and jokes. I will miss him. We are thinking of the extended Sherring and Dandekar family and sending thoughts of courage and peace.

My deepest sympathies for the loss of Albert. Albert was my colleague at Curry College for over 30 years. He was a wonderful part of our college community, and the students always enjoyed his classes. He will be missed.
