Albert Whitney Obituary

Albert C. Whitney, Jr., 81, a lifelong resident of Framingham, died Wed. April 1, 2015 at the VA Medical Center in Brockton following a long battle with cancer. Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Albert C. and Catherine (Coleman) Whitney. A graduate of the former St. Stephen's School and Framingham High School (1951) he was a veteran of service with the Air Force during the Korean War. Mr. Whitney was employed for many years by the Town of Framingham, starting with the Housing Authority and retiring from the Dept. of Public Works. He was a longtime member of the Framingham Eagles and a faithful parishioner of St. Stephen's Church. He was pre-deceased by his twin brother Robert C. Whitney who died in 2011 and is survived by a sister: Mary Edna Covino of Mashpee, 4 nephews: Bernard T. King of N. Attleboro, James W. King of Mansfield, Christopher W. King of Wrentham and Michael J. King of Plainville; a niece: Catherine E. Hurley in Texas and many grand nieces and nephews & great grand nieces and nephews. A visiting hour will be held Monday April 6 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Boyle Bros. Funeral Home, 173 Union Ave., Framingham followed by a funeral Mass at St. Stephen's Church, 221 Concord St., (Rte. 126) Framingham at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at St. Stephen's Cemetery, Fenwick St., Framingham. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to: the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA. 01701. For further information, please visit www.boylebrothers.com

AL. what do I say, I met al at the age of 12. Al and henry gruppy use to keep me in stitches. AL& henry help me get my driver's ticket. He used to come to white"s hardware, and say HI He was agood man and will be sadly missed.
