We were so going to write that book together. Damn, you left a gaping hole in my heart. Remember that rainy afternoon in Bagram, when we sat in the truck together and just laughed and laughed trying to get the right take on that interview? Baby, you were so lively and happy. I guess that's why your loss hurts so much. You were always so loved and cherished. You always will be. We ache for you, Sista. Watch over Reagan and Kennedy from above. They need you. We all need you.

I am sorry to hear this news late. I knew Mr. Bordas since high school and had the honor to meet Mrs. Bordas 2 years ago when I did my student teaching with Mr. Bordas. She was warm, respectful, and great. Both herself and Mr. Bordas are great. My heart goes out to the family.

When i was an E-3 i served with mrs. BORDAS in FFG-39 at that time she was an E-5 and she mentored me throughout the time that we served together. A great leader, mentor and a wounderful human being.I still can't believe that you are not with us anymore.

I took a class with Aleida at Manhattan College in 92 or 93. She was a bubbly beautiful person. I saw her again years later at an in service course for Yonkers teachers. She was still as bubbly and sweet. I remember seeing her again with her oldest daughter and I so admired how so in love she was with her daughter. I regret never writing to her while she was on tour even though I thought about it several times. God is a merciful God. I will be praying for her and her girls.

I never had the chance to actually meet you but I would sit in Eco/Gov in Mr. Bordas' class and he would speak very highly of you. How proud he and your girls were of their mother and how much they missed you. I do however, remember that you had a smile on your face everyday I passed your classroom when I was in 10th grade.
