Alexander Laszlo

LASZLO, Alexander Sandor Peacefully at the Queensway Carleton Hospital on August 31st, 2010 at the age of 75 with his loving family by his side. Alex will be sadly missed by his loving wife and best friend Dorothy. Cherished father of Susan (Greg) Driscoll of Baltimore and Shawn (Kathy) of Sudbury. Devoted and best ever Pa to Steven, Robert, Ryan, James, Zoe, Danyka, Johnathan and Papa to Amanda and Tyler. He will be fondly remembered by his sister, brothers in laws, nieces, nephews and friends. Special cousin to Nicolas and family. Alex retired from Bell Canada after 25 years designing and supporting intelligent networks e.g. Email, (prior to internet email), he will be missed by his friends from Bell. Alex will also be missed by his friends at the Nepean Seniors Duplicate Bridge Club, Kawartha Golf and Country Club Peterborough, Kanata Lakes and Greensmere Golf Courses, Modern Square Dancing Group, Ottawa Hungarian Community Club and friends from James baseball team. Dad was an avid sports fan and coached the Lynwood Soccer Team for many years. In his last days he still followed his favorite sports on TV. His family was everything to him and he taught us all our computer skills, and how to swing a golf club, oh yeah, and a few dance steps, but most importantly his dedication to family, a great work ethic and honesty. He had an infectious smile that will never be forgotten. Special thank you to the Day Hospice at May Court, Carefor nursing staff, Saint Elizabeth Health care workers, C4 staff at the Queensway Carleton Hospital, Dr. Edward Rose and Dr. Fraser Miller. Special thank you to Harold, George and Bill for your many visits, we know dad appreciated them. Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road (between Bayshore and Baseline Rd.), Nepean on Thursday, September 2nd 2010 from 3:30 p.m. until time of memorial service in the chapel at 4:30 p.m. If friends wish, in memoriam donations may be made to the Day Hospice at the May Court.
