You were a great inspiration to me these many years of friendship. From junior high, joining the military, creating families, figuring out hairstyles and working on leaving a legacy while enjoying our passion, Lex you were a great person. Thank you for being such a wonderful confidante. Your beautiful light, smile, and spirit will always be remembered.
Your strength and love is already instilled in your babies. I will be sure to check on our family for you. I love you sooooo very much, Girlie. Lex, you are the greatest and I will sorely miss you. Like we talked about I will continue creating a lifetime worth remembering. You're forever in my heart.

On behalf of Louisiana Women Veterans, we would like to extend our heartfelt sympathies to the family of Alexis Mia Scott Larry, U.S. Air Force veteran. We salute her service to our country and honor her with this poem:
She is a woman veteran
Whose service was true
And she proudly served
The Red, White and Blue
She gave a part of her life
So others could be free
And without any hesitation
She joined unselfishly
She did her job well
With Honor and Pride
And served her great country
With the men alongside
We're proud today to know
That although she is gone
She goes on to glory
After a job "well done!"
And so, "Our Dear Sister"
We salute you today
A special Airman laid to rest
In this quiet, solemn way
Inspired by: God
