Alfonso Esquivel Jr
August 13, 1955 - January 3, 2022
Sacramento, California - Alfonso 'Al' Esquivel, Jr. passed away January 3, 2022, from complications related to coronavirus.
Al was born August 13, 1955, in Laredo, Texas, to Alfonso and Fernanda Esquivel. Al suffered from rheumatic fever as a child which caused other afflictions later on. He never allowed these afflictions to affect his positive outlook.
Al retired from ATT in 2011 before pursuing various entrepreneurial ventures as a second career. Although Al was limited in participating in sports, he remained active by managing competitive men's softball teams.
He was the eldest brother and had a quiet and strong influence over his siblings. Family and friends enjoyed his intellect, unique sense of humor, practical jokes, and his ability to overcome his physical limitations.
Al is preceded in death by father, Alfonso Esquivel and is survived by his mother, Fernanda Esquivel, siblings, Irene Perry (Edward), Adrian (Lisanne), Gabriel, Patricia Kallergis (Pantelis), Cipriano (Lisa Marie), Martin, Maria Parkinson, Alberto Esquivel (Ruthanna) and numerous nephews and nieces.
