Dear Family:
I will never forget the wonderful kindness he showed to me every day that he worked in the operating room at the former Mercy Hospital. I will never forget the team of Dr. Azer & Dr.Samii. I was the operating room secretary and he would always take out time to talk with me. He was a great surgeon and a wonderful person who cared about all of his patients and staff he worked with everyday. Blessings to all of you.

Dear Mrs. Samii and children;

I was just a young RN when I met Dr. Samii, working in ICU. He took time to teach me the finer points of caring for the vascular patient. I'll never forget that this busy, busy surgeon had time to show me just how he liked his dressings, meds given, patients prepped and cared for. I was just out of nursing school and it meant so much when he and Dr. Azer took time with me to improve my skills and each of the nurses caring for their patients.

Later, he would correct my attempts at speaking Arabic and tell me how to sweet talk my former husband who was also Arabic. He always had time to stop and ask about my parents, who both retired from Memorial's OR and Xray depts.

Dr. Sammi was a prince!

My thoughts and prayers....

Dr. Samii extended my life some 25 years now since the first of seven operations he performed on my legs due to P.A.D. - only at first nobody called it that or really understood what is was or the cause. Dr. Samii was a doctor I could talk to to in plain language and was always frank and honest to me and for that I will always remember him as one of the best doctors in the T & V Surgcial Services. My deepest sympathies to his family and he will always be in my heart and prayers forever.

To the Samii Family,

Our hearts go out to you at this very difficult time. My family was introduced to Dr. Samii for medical care that my dad needed and Dr. Samii was always a great support and was very caring when it came to my dad and our family. We have kept tabs on your husband/dad even after his retirement and thank him every day for the gift that he has given our family. He was a great man, a tremendous doctor, and a very caring individual and he will be in our thoughts forever. Take comfort in knowing that Dr. Samii will be in our hearts always.

Dr.Jean Samii and Family,

My deepest sympathy on the loss of your husband and father. He was a wonderful surgeron and great doctor.He took care of a cousin of mine many years ago. I used to work at Saint Francis with you as the faculty secretary back in the 1980's but I never made the connection of you two. Keeping you and your entire family in my prayers at this difficult time. He is finally at peace and no longer suffering.
