The memorial service for Alice Louise Krohn will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2015, at the Seventh Day Baptist Church, 203 East Main Street in Dodge Center, with Rev. Dale Rood officiating. Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Dodge Center at a later date.

Alice Louise Krohn, 98, passed away Monday, March 16, 2015, at Fairview Care Center in Dodge Center.

Alice was born May 24, 1916, the daughter of Albert and Ida (Bartlett) Houseman in Jasper County, Iowa. She attended the Red Brick School in Dodge County and high school in Kasson. Alice was united in marriage to George M. Bonser on Aug. 12, 1935, at the Steele County Fair in Owatonna, and later divorced.

On Jan. 29, 1976, she married Charles E. Krohn at Rochester. Alice was a lifelong resident of Dodge County. She was a waitress at the Hub Cafe at Dodge Center,  Home Bakery and Cafe in Kasson, and clerked at the Gripps Food Market in Dodge Center.

Alice was active in the Seventh Day Baptist Church and was president of SDB Ladies Aid. She enjoyed crocheting, traveling and spending winters in Texas.

Alice is survived by her children; Bonnie Seymour, Tustin, Calif.; Vivian Kloppstein, Kasson; Robert (Maria) Bonser, Kasson; Barbara Mogen, West Concord; and Burton (Brenda) Bonser, Wabasha; one stepson, Mike Loomas, Milwaukee, Ore.; 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Norma Hennum, Salton Sea, Calif.; and Luverne Stenstad, Emily, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, William; one grandson, Kanton Bonser; three sisters, Bernice Boruff, Hazel Pratt and Fern Houseman; and one brother, Harvey Houseman.

Memorials preferred to donor's choice.

Czaplewski Family Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
