Allen H. Taylor, 73, of Morehead, KY, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at St. Clair Medical Center, Morehead, KY. Allen was born May 31, 1948, in Queens, New York, the son of the late Allen Hull Taylor and Alice Henrietta Milliken Taylor. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Ann Mann; his father and mother-in-law, R. T. and Esther Thacker, a nephew, Ryan Meece, and sister and brother-in-law, Joann Meece and James Meece. He was a retired veteran of the United States Navy having served as a Navy Seal. Survivors include his wife, Judy Taylor of Morehead, KY; one sister, Laura Whitten of Calhoun City, Mississippi; a half-sister, Betty Harris of Ashland City, TN; nephews, Travis (Nicole) Meece of Columbus, Ohio and Donald (Beth Ann) Meece of Morehead, KY; great nephews, Jonathan (Michelle) Meece of Hardy, KY, and Andrew Meece of Columbus, Ohio; great niece, Ally Meece of Columbus, Ohio; great great niece and nephew, Atlanta Meece and Mikal Meece and a host of other loving family and friends. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 11, 2021, from 11 – 1 PM, with funeral services beginning at 1 PM in the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Thacker Cemetery, Canada, KY, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. R. E. Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry is serving the Taylor family.
