Allison Burns Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 30, 2023.

Allison Elaine Burns passed away following complications of an accidental head injury, on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at her residence in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, at the age of 43.  She was born on Friday, November 9, 1979, in Covington, Louisiana to Gary James Burns and Carla Elaine Bryan.

Our sweet Allison's light is shining in heaven now. She had a big generous heart of compassion and kindness. She would be the first to tell you she wasn't perfect, but God showed her how much He loved her and wanted her to experience His love, power and purposes in her life.

She battled addiction many years but was moving forward in the freedom, and spiritual healing of heart and soul that Jesus brings. She wanted to help support others in their journey and would post her before and after pictures so people could be encouraged and know that with God there is ALWAYS HOPE.

She really cared for people and was so humble and ready to forgive and have compassion for even those that hurt her. She was ready to give that love she received from God. She prayed for others with such genuine concern, you knew it touched God's heart with yours. She also was a woman who praised God for all that He is and especially for His love, mercy, and compassion.

Her favorite bible verse was Jeremiah 29:11-14 "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity."

God brought her out of captivity and into His marvelous love and light. When she slipped, she didn't stay down, she got back up and back to the path of God. He never gave up on her and she got stronger each time.

She had several years of sobriety and always prayed for her friends to get free, too. She talked about her precious loving family [of people and cats], how good they were to her and how much she loved them all. She attended several spiritual retreats. It was such a joy to see her get blessed by God with His love she was so eager to receive.

She posted daily bible verses so people could see how God reaches out to us through the bible. Her last two posts were rather profound. I'd say she accomplished it.  "There is no more pain, sadness, sorrow or death now. Only a world the human mind can't begin to imagine." 1 Corinthians 2:9 says, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” She is there now.

We will miss her sweet heart and remember the good times. Allison’s prayer for us would be to think about our own lives, get the help we need and love God and each other while we can. He loves us eternally and wants us to experience everything Jesus came to earth for, so we could know the good Father, have our broken hearts healed, and be set free to live a life of purpose.

Allison is survived by her parents, Gary James Burns of Ponchatoula, LA and Carla E. Johnson (James) of Bogalusa, LA; brother, Adam James Burns; uncles, Cornell Bryan; Jim Burns (Darlene), Benjamin Burns (Scarlet Ford), and Jeff Burns (Suzanne); aunts, Sandy Burns (Darryl Redeker), Cathy Farrar, Laura Martin, and Rose McCon (Jeff); great aunts, Louella Davis, Nelda Dendinger, Daunice Parker, and Gail Parker Gowland; great uncle, George Parker; and former stepmother, Sandra McLain Burns.  Also survived by many amazing cousins, numerous great aunts and uncles, family members, and friends.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Allison joined my husband and I on our live shows on Amazon and she was always such a positive light. If anyone else was down, she would lift them back up . We are all still in shock. She left way too early.

Allie was such a dear, sweet friend. She never had an unkind word, always uplifting and loving. When you saw her name pop up in our chat, you knew happiness and kindness had arrived. Her favorite scripture hangs on my wall and now has new meaning each day when I read it. My deepest condolences to her family and other friends. We miss you! RIP AllieKat, heaven has a new angel.

Sending the family and friends of Allison my sincerest condolences from NYC. I knew Allison as AllieKat on my Amazon livestreams, and she was just so kind. I knew of her sobriety and cheered her on, and was just so impressed with how she spoke. As someone whose family member who has dealt with addiction, I understood Allison and how her triumph should be celebrated. I cannot believe she is gone home so young. May she walk beside God surrounded by the light she brought to us all each day. She will truly be missed.

To whom it may concern:

I met Allison via the DragonBloggers' Amazon Live and Twitch channels under the name of Alliekat B. She was a very kind person with me, so I kindly named her "Allie Kitty". She loved that nickname and we were in touch via social media. Since Christmas, I lost contact with her and I thought she was busy with familly issues, but I never guessed that she suffered a fatal accident. I am terribly shocked since a friend of mine told me about the sad news.
My deepest condolences to her family and friends (in real life and online).
Dear Allie Kitty: I always remember your kind words you said to me when I was deeply depressed due to my late mothers' illness.
Rest in peace, dear friend!

Alli was a beautiful soul! I only got to meet her because she was a dedicated viewer in the chat room on the Amazon Livestreams and she was kind enough to purchase Girl Scout cookies from my daughter. God rest her soul!!
