ALVIN RILEY Obituary
Surrounded by the love of his family, Alvin Frank Riley, Jr. "Buddy" went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 16, 2015. Buddy is survived by his devoted wife, Pamela, who he loved for 31 years; his proudest accomplishments were raising his two daughters, Melissa Bunyak and Emily Austin; their husbands were the sons he never had, Nathan Buyak and Johnny Austin. In December he became a loving and proud Granpap to Luke William Austin. He is also survived by his two springer spaniels, Ollie and Tigger. He was the baby brother of Kathy Simpson; and caring uncle of Kerry Dowling, Chelsey Rock and Katie Simpson. He was blessed to call many people his dear friends and cherished every single friendship in his life. Buddy told anyone who would listen he was so blessed and a "lucky man". He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Alvin F., Sr. and Lois C. Riley. If you ran in to Bud, he would tell you how blessed he was and that his life couldn't get any better. A very special thanks to the Staff at AGH Cardiac Care Unit, who tenderly cared for him. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15237 or the Light of Life Mission, 915 Western Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15233, two organizations Buddy was dedicated to. Friends received Thursday noon-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the HAHN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 123 North Avenue, Millvale. Services Friday 11 a.m. at Christ Episcopal Church North Hills, 5910 Babcock Blvd., Pittsburgh 15237. Everyone please meet at the church.

Dear Riley Family,
Al was a friend and co-worker. He will always be remembered as a mentor and someone who would always spend time to help others. He was truly a good person and one who will be missed by anyone he ever met.

To the family of Al, My sympathy to all of you on Buddy's death. I was a Sunday school teacher to Buddy and his Daughters a long time ago. I knew him and his family at Christ Lutheran Church.
