Amber V. Kelting

Amber V. Kelting, 89, of Wheatland, Iowa, died Sunday, April 3, 2005, at Dewitt community Hospital, Dewitt, Iowa. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Wheatland. Reverend Laird Keever will be officiating. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at Chapman Funeral Home, Wheatland. Burial will be in St. Paul's Church Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established.
Amber was born May 17,1915, in Wheatland, to Carl Bicknese and Violet Willey. She married Elmer Kelting September 4, 1938, in Wheatland. He died in 1996. Amber graduated from Wheatland High School and Cornell College in Mt.Vernon. She taught at Red Oak School and Rainbow Pre School.
She was a lifetime member of St.Paul's Church and the Martha Aid Society, and was active in the community serving with the the Republican women and worked as a poll Worker. She was member of Clinton Farm Bureau, library board, nursing home auxiliary.
Survivors include daughter, Judy (Tom) Meyer, of Dubuque, Iowa; sons, Ken (Sherri), of Mundelein, Ill., Doug (Nancy), of Wheatland; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three step-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister, and one grandson.
