It was our good fortune to have met and known Amy through her performances with "Rusty" at the Grapevine Opry, and later, as a neighbor in north Colleyville. She was a phenomenal young person, such an inspiration for all who knew her and her mother. We will all miss her charming smile and positive outlook on life.

I met Amy through a Bible study and will always remember her and what an amazing young woman she was. When I need strength and encouragement to live a life of purpose with passion, I will think of her and she will continue to impact my life. I pray that God is providing you with special care and comfort through this time.

I was able to hear Amy's self-videotaped testimony at the Journey of Sisters Conference on June 13 in Plano. I was so moved by her faith, courage and the way she allowed Christ to work through her. I was so saddened to hear of her passing just days later. Know that I am asking God to fill this immense loss in your heart with his peace and comfort. As we are about the same age, Amy encouraged me to get it in gear and allow Jesus to flow through and use me each and every day. Amy is a great example to me of a life well-lived. You can be so proud of your daughter. I wish I could have known her.

Mrs. Jones,
I am at a loss for words at the news about Amy. I remember when she would come to your 4th grade classroom and talk with us about life and going after our dreams. She was such an inspiration to all of us! I will keep your family in my prayers. Although the times ahead will be tough, God will see you through them.
In Him,

I know this is not easy, but Amy short life that she lived touched so many people in their heart.
I just lost my mother and my father in the last 9 months. I know it does not compare to a child, but I do understand what you are going through.
I have been thinking of the many times at your house and you keeping Amy & I on our diets - a cup of black eyed peas!
I love you and I will keep you in our prayers.

Donna, Barry, and Joe,
What a precious legacy this angel leaves behind. She has touched so many lives, and changed so many lives, and given hope to so many. Certainly her life and ministry were not in vain.
I treasure that wonderful smile she had and the way she always made everyone she met feel they were special. We had a picture sent to us of Amy and our son, Kirk, during their high school days when they shared special student council times together, and it is a precious reminder to us of her friendship with so many, many people from all walks of life.
We have prayed for weeks and will continue to pray that God will give you all the strength you need at this time.
Sincerely,
Knox and Pam Pittrd
