Amy Lovingood Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 8, 2024.
Amy Lynn Lovingood, 41, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2024, after a prolonged battle with addiction. Amy was born in Wadsworth, Ohio on November 23, 1982 and spent most of her life in the greater Atlanta area.

Growing up Amy was known for her vibrant personality and infectious sense of humor. Her charisma drew people to her. Over the years, the challenges of addiction overshadowed her radiant spirit. While it is difficult to fully encapsulate a person's life in an obituary-especially one whose struggles were so defining-our solace comes from knowing that Amy is now free from her ongoing battles. We deeply wish she could have experienced this freedom in her lifetime.

Amy is survived by her daughter, Khloe Lovingood; her parents, Alice Lovingood-Otte and Brian Lovingood; her step-parents, Paul Otte and Madge Lovingood; her sister, Amanda White, and Amanda's spouse, Brandon White; her niece, Megan White; and her grandparent, Gordon Eckler. She is also survived by her uncles Michael Lovingood, David Lovingood (and his spouse Kathy Lovingood, Andy Eckler; and her cousins Erika Lovingood, Lisa Lovingood, Matthew Lovingood, Alex Eckler, Adam Eckler, and Rodney Eckler. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Mildred and James 'Ed' Lovingood, Marilyn Eckler, Mary Otte, and Pat and Cecil Betenbaugh.

A celebration of Amy's life will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to The Elizabeth Foundation at https://elizabethfoundation.org/.
