Ana Chicas de Lizarraga Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 8, 2023.

Ana Alicia Chicas de Lizárraga of Santa Maria, CA was born on July 5, 1949, in Santa Polonia, San Ygnacio, Mazatlan, Mexico. She fell asleep in death on Wednesday February 1, 2023, at 10 PM at home as she had wished with her family by her side.

A wife, a loving mother of three daughters; grandmother to seven and a great-grandmother to one, who lovingly called her Nana.

Ana met Luis in 1969 and married him on April 17, 1973. That same year in August they moved to Tijuana, BC Mexico where they formed their family. On September 14, 1985, they decided to take a vacation and visit the states. They fell in love with Santa Maria and decided to live their happy life there. Ana attended Accounting School of Sinaloa where she received her title of Bookkeeper, and later Allan Hancock College and CET. One of her many talents was singing. She was always ready to sing at gatherings which many enjoyed. She loved to cook, sew and write in shorthand. She was unselfish, willing to lend a helping hand to any.

Ana was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in the year 1986 alongside Luis in Woodland Hills, CA Assembly Hall. Ana looked forward to the wonderful future blessings God’s Kingdom will bring for all to enjoy and shared those comforting truths with others.

She is preceded in death by her parents Vidal Chicas, Casimira Vizcarra and her daughter Ana Maribel Lizárraga de Pitacua. She is survived by her husband Luis Lizárraga; daughters Mary Lizárraga, Heidi Lizárraga Salinas; son-in-law Thomas Salinas Jr; grandchildren; Ariel Lizárraga Sario, husband Janos-Miccolo Sario, Ana Dyson, husband Jonathan Dyson, Ruby Aguilar, Myah Salinas, Cielo Aguilar, Desiree Salinas, Damian Salinas and great-grandson Jean Allen Lizárraga Sario.
