Ana GRUBESIC Obituary
Born February 17, 1915 in Vinski Vrh, Croatia. Passed away peacefully on April 23, 2013 at Windsor Regional Hospital, Met Campus at 98 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Stjepan Grubesic (1989). Cherished mother of Josip Grubesic and wife Marica, and Marica Maletic and husband Stevo. Loving grandmother of the late Darko, Joe (Edna), John (Suzana), Anne Marie (Slavko), Steven (Oricia), and Miro Vranic (relative). Great- grandmother of Gabriella, Natalie, Kristijan, Sofia, Ethan, and Klara. Daughter of the late Ivan and Mara Spudic. Predeceased by siblings Katica, Mijo, Josip, and Ivan. Ana started working in a textile factory for 10 years starting at the young age of 16. She devoted her time to raising her children and her passion for gardening. She arrived in Canada in 1976 with her loving husband. She continued to nurture her family including her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. on Wednesday, April 24 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Prayers at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 9:15 a.m. from the Funeral Home then to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church for Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
