ANAMAE JOHNSON

JOHNSON, ANAMAE (Boonstra/Anderson/Gillette) Died early September 7, 2015, at Christian Care Senior Care Assisted Living. She was born in Muskegon, MI, on January 4, 1924, to John and Helen (Borgerding) Boonstra. Husbands Daniel Johnson, Gerald Gillette, and Robert Anderson preceded her in death. Anamae was married to Robert B. Anderson for 43 years and together they had six children: Ellen Wilson of Muskegon, MI; PJ (Pamela) James of Chandler, AZ; John Anderson (Alice) of White Lake, MI; David Anderson (Cathy Stull) of Lansing, MI; Patricia Arter (Bruce) of Stevensville, MI; and Bobby (Robert) Anderson (Elaine) of Muskegon, MI. Anamae leaves ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was a longtime member of Lakeside Baptist Church. She sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, and loved the Lord. She had been a church trustee and was active in many functions. She had also been a member of Toastmistresses Club of Michigan. The funeral will take place at Lakeside Baptist Church in Muskegon on October 10, 2015. The family will be at the church to welcome visitors starting at 2:00 p.m., and the service will begin at 3:00. In lieu of flowers, Anamae requested donations be made to Lakeside Baptist Church.
