Anastasios Stamadianos Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 2, 2022.
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather Anastasios 'Tasos' Stamadianos on August 29, 2022. Born on March 5, 1931 in Koupia, Lakonia, Greece, Tasos found his way to Canada in 1956 and married his wife Hrysoula in 1960. Tasos lived a quiet but meaningful family-oriented life as a devoted father to Katerina (predeceased), Lambros (Matina) and Angelo (Stavroula), and adored grandfather to Tasos, Tommy, Katerina, Peter, Nathan and Christopher.

Tasos was known for his bountiful garden - visitors rarely left his home without a bag of freshly harvested vegetables. He was a seasoned cook that enjoyed feeding his family whenever he could, spending hours preparing holiday meals. Generous and thoughtful, Tasos and Hrysoula never hesitated to open their house to relatives and strangers in need of a temporary home. He was a special man with an infectious smile and a heart of gold.

As a firm follower of the Greek Orthodox religion, our family is at peace knowing that Tasos has reunited with his daughter.

Donations in lieu of flowers may be sent to the Michael Garron Hospital Foundation, of which Tasos was a longtime supporter.
