Andrea Shafer

Andrea Michelle Shafer, known as Angie to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2023, in Westminster, MD, at the age of 57. She was born on September 16, 1965, in Frederick, Maryland, to Patricia and Rodger Ridenhour. She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandmother, Olive Misner.

Angie was a devoted mother to her four children and a grandmother to several grandchildren. She was known for her kind and loving nature and her ability to bring joy to those around her. Angie loved listening to classic rock music, watching game shows, and spending time with her friends and family.

After graduating from Catoctin High School, Angie pursued her passion for cooking and worked as a chef and manager for several restaurants landing her forever job at Chubby's Barbeque in Emmitsburg, MD, for over 10 years. Later, she decided to pursue a career in the dental field, becoming a certified dental assistant after graduating from Kaplan College.

Angie will be deeply missed by her surviving family, including her four children Paris Perez, Nicholas Myers, Gregory Shafer, Amanda Shafer two sisters, Sherry Myers and Tracy Boyd, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her legacy of love and kindness will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew her. May she rest in peace.
