I send my deepest condolences to Dr. Nguyen 's children and their families. All that I read in his obituary confirmed my thinking he was a fine man. I knew him as a trusted and experienced doctor. He told me once he had delivered babies by candlelight during war years. He was always professional, caring, quietly confident and calm. All qualities appreciated in the delivery of four of my
seven children. He was from the generation where doctors delivered "their " babies , no matter the day or time. In my case one delivery was Christmas Eve 1977. He was there within minutes of being called. I hope he was not long from his family that evening.
In monthly checkups he used his wooden mallet stethoscope without fail.
I am pleased he enjoyed such a long and full life.
Most Sincerely Anne McKennirey

Dr. Nuyens delivered both my children at tha Riverside in '69 and '71 and (if he had stayed 8 more years), my grandkids too. Also, I know Mike and Connie as colleagues at STC so this is a double connection. Andreas had a good, long life full of achievement but sad nonetheless.

Dear Mike and Connie,
My sympathy to both of you and your family. What an incredible life Dr. Nuyens had. I do remember meeting him once other than at your wedding. It was at Billings Bridge a few(??) years ago and he was in remarkable shape. Truly a life well lived.
