FINDLAY _ Andrew Allan (Al) Our family is sad to announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather, Al Findlay, on July 25, 2005, at the age of 75 years. Al is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Betty; four children, Bill (Susan) Findlay, Leigh (Tim) Douglas, Jim (Jereen) Findlay and Brian (Christi) Findlay; grandchildren, Erin, Blair, Heather, Alex and Chante'; sister Jean Grasdahl; and nephew George Grasdahl. Calgary was Al's home for over fifty-two years. He spent his career working in the construction supply industry as an accountant. Al will be remembered as a fun-loving, good spirited person who loved camping, hunting and gardening but mostly enjoyed gatherings of his family and numerous relatives who will miss him greatly. A Memorial Service will be held at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME, 1708 - 16 Avenue N.W., Calgary (across from North Hill Shopping Centre), on Saturday, July 30, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made directly to the Diabetes Association (Foothills), Holy Cross Centre, G124, 2204 - 2 Street S.W., Calgary, AB T2S 3C2. During the last two years Dad spent a significant amount of time in-and-out of the Foothills Hospital and the family would like to thank the staff and doctors there who made his visits as comfortable as possible.
