Andrew PEREMAN Obituary

Published by Vancouver Sun and/or The Province from Feb. 10 to Feb. 12, 2012.
PEREMAN, Andrew John
Andrew John Pereman, 37, passed away February 4 in Squamish while building his future family business. Andrew was born to Lloyd and Elizabeth Pereman in Oshawa, Ontario on January 31, 1975. After graduating from high school, a road trip to B.C. brought him to Squamish. His love of the outdoors combined with his natural athletic ability made Squamish his perfect home. While in B.C. Andrew took up the trade of carpentry and helped in the construction of several of Whistler's landmark hotels including the PanPacific lodge and the complete revitalization of Whistler's Creekside. In 2004, Andrew married his wife Natalie. They met through their mutual enjoyment of slo-pitch. Andrew also loved hunting and spending time in nature. His daughters Montana Ryan, 5, and Paisley Mae, 2, and all his friends and family, will forever remember Andrew's big smile and contagious laugh. Andrew leaves behind his wife, his daughters, his parents, sister Melissa, parents-in-law Ernie and Donna, brother-in-law Mike and his wife Kim, cousins Ian (Deb) and Cameron McGregor (Mandy), Sarah Briscoe (Randy), Nancy, James, Robert and Kevin Stewart, Teresa Brooks, Sandy Colville, Grant Nottingham (Connie) and James Pereman along with his two dogs Kiya and Lola. A memorial fund in Andrew's name to support Montana and Paisley has been created at the Bank of Nova Scotia in Squamish. Memorial fund donations are being accepted in lieu of flowers. Andrew's family members wish to thank his many friends who have prayed, sent well wishes and shared food. A celebration of life is planned for Friday, February 10 at 3 p.m. with a reception to follow in the West Coast Railway Heritage Park CN Roundhouse in Squamish.

“Andrew, to a fellow "Prince Albertan", the memories of us playing baseball together over the years are still vivid and fond as if they were yesterday and always will be. Rest in peace and god bless you. To Mr. & Mrs. Pereman, Melissa, Natalie, the kids and the rest of Andrew's family, my thoughts and prayers are with you all. We didn't get to see Andrew's big smile long enough here on earth, but where ever he is I'm sure he's smiling down on us just as I always remember him. Take care and God bless you all. ”

Andrew, my cousin will always be remembered by his contagious smile and laughter. It seems like only yesterday, treasured time was spent at the cottage, farm and in Prince Albert.

Your memory will never be forgotten and your legacy will continue to be seen through your family!

We first met Andrew as a young tradesman recently arrived in BC and working in Whistler. We watched him flourish and succeed, and were delighted when he found, Natalie "the woman of his dreams". Tho we haven't been involved in his life in recent years he has remained and will always remain one of the good guys. Our heartfelt condolences to his family and all those who loved him.
